The SRT Viper was a brief but memorable experiment in branding. For the 2013 and 2014 model years, Dodge dropped the Dodge name entirely and marketed the car as the SRT Viper — a standalone model under the SRT performance brand. It was the only time in the car's twenty-five-year history that it did not carry the Dodge badge, and the move confused longtime fans and excited collectors in equal measure. By 2015, the experiment ended and the car returned to being the Dodge Viper once again.
