The Competizione A — the open-top version of the 812 Competizione — removed the rear window and replaced it with a carbon-fiber tonneau cover, creating a targa-style body that allowed the V12's 9,500-RPM exhaust note to fill the cabin. Only 599 units were produced, and each one featured the same 819-horsepower naturally aspirated engine and advanced rear-wheel-steering system as the coupe.
