The Lister-Jaguar represents one of the most celebrated marque combinations in British motorsport history. Brian Lister's lightweight chassis designs, powered by Jaguar's XK straight-six and later V12 engines, created racing cars that regularly defeated factory entries from Aston Martin, Ferrari, and Maserati in sports car races throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Archie Scott Brown, driving a Lister-Jaguar, became one of the most feared competitors in British motorsport until his untimely death at Spa in 1958. The Lister name has been revived periodically with modified Jaguar road cars — the Lister LFT-C and LFT-666 being recent examples — that add extra power and bespoke touches to the F-Type platform.
