The Jaguar D-Type continuation program — announced in 2018 — built the twenty-five D-Types that were originally planned for the 1955 production run but never completed. Each continuation D-Type was hand-built by Jaguar Classic in Coventry using the original 1955 engineering drawings, the same materials, and wherever possible the same manufacturing techniques as the originals. The 3.4-liter XK straight-six engine was built using the same tooling and assembled to the same specifications as the Le Mans-winning works cars. Each continuation D-Type was certified with a chassis number that follows sequentially from the last original car, connecting the new builds directly to the racing heritage. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that continuation legacy. Each emblem features the Jaguar badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting color accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film. Clean the cap, peel, position the emblem, and press for thirty seconds. The bond is permanent — no tools, no clips, no drilling. Sizes from 20 mm to 120 mm. Custom diameters upon request.
