The Jaguar XK120 was the car that put Jaguar on the international stage when it debuted at the 1948 London Motor Show. Originally intended as a limited-production showcase for the new XK twin-cam engine, the XK120 generated such overwhelming demand that Jaguar was forced to move from hand-built aluminum bodies to steel-bodied mass production. The name referred to the car's claimed top speed of 120 miles per hour — an extraordinary figure for 1948 — and the 3.4-liter XK engine that powered it would remain in production in various forms for nearly four decades. The XK120 was beautiful, fast, and remarkably affordable compared to the Ferraris and Maseratis against which it was invariably compared. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that landmark debut. Each emblem features the Jaguar badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film.
