The Jaguar Mark 1 — produced from 1955 to 1959 — was the compact sporting saloon that preceded the more famous Mark II, and it established the formula of combining six-cylinder performance with a lightweight unitary construction body that would define Jaguar's sporting saloons for decades. The Mark 1 was available with the 2.4-liter or 3.4-liter XK engine, and the 3.4 variant was one of the fastest production saloons in the world when it debuted. The Mark 1's thicker window pillars and more heavily chromed details give it a different character than the later Mark II, and well-preserved examples are increasingly valued by collectors who appreciate its significance as the car that created the sporting Jaguar saloon genre. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that original sporting saloon. Each emblem features the Jaguar leaper reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at high resolution with fade-resistant solvent inks. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film.
