KTM entered series production with the R 100 motorcycle in 1953, a confirmed event in the company’s documented timeline. For present-day motorcycle riders, this tank protector serves a separate and practical purpose: helping cover a suitable flat area of the fuel tank against everyday surface scuffs and scratches. The Refined Design appearance is balanced by the decorative character of Interior Luxe, creating a considered look for the selected section of the tank. Beneath that styling, a premium vinyl base is topped with a 3D domed resin coating, and a self-adhesive backing provides the confirmed attachment format. The material is scratch-resistant, waterproof, tear-resistant and UV-resistant, so it offers measured resistance during regular outdoor use. Its neat appearance outdoors is also guaranteed, but that appearance guarantee should not be read as a claim of permanent immunity to every kind of wear. The product must be applied only to a suitable FLAT area of the motorcycle fuel tank. It is not specified for curved, rounded or contoured surfaces, and no suitability beyond those flat areas should be inferred from the decorative description. Riders can therefore use this accessory to add a defined visual layer and routine surface protection to a compatible fuel tank section. It is especially relevant where an exposed flat area may collect everyday contact marks and the owner wants a practical, neatly finished covering.
