KTM's origins lead back to Hans Trunkenpolz's workshop in Mattighofen, Austria, opened in 1934. That historical beginning is separate from the function of this motorcycle tank accessory, which is intended to help protect a suitable flat fuel tank surface from everyday scuffs and scratches. The Design Edition Signature Grade treatment uses a premium vinyl base finished with a 3D domed resin coating, creating a layered construction with a pronounced surface detail. A self-adhesive backing provides the attachment method for the chosen flat area, without implying stronger bonding or other unverified removal behavior. After fitting, the product's confirmed construction offers scratch resistance and is also waterproof, tear-resistant and UV-resistant. Those characteristics provide resistance to the specified everyday wear and environmental conditions without suggesting that all possible damage is prevented. The product is guaranteed to maintain a neat appearance during outdoor use, but no duration or lifetime has been attached to that assurance. Workshop content separately supplies the relevant size, installation and quantity information. Visually, the raised resin surface offers a purposeful finishing detail for a motorcycle tank while the underlying vinyl forms the protective base. Application is limited to a suitable flat area only; curved, rounded and contoured sections are outside the stated use. No impact-related, flexibility-related or additional bonding claims are introduced.
