The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni was a special edition named after Lamborghini's legendary test driver who served the company for over 40 years. The Balboni edition was the first rear-wheel-drive Gallardo, removing the front driveshaft and differential to create a purer, more playful driving experience that rewarded skilled drivers with a greater sense of connection and involvement. The distinctive gold stripe running diagonally across the roof and body identified the Balboni edition immediately, and only 250 units were produced worldwide. The Balboni edition demonstrated that sometimes less technology produces more driving pleasure, a principle dear to its namesake. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that special test-driver tribute. Each emblem features the Lamborghini shield reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film.
