The Land Rover Series I — produced from 1948 to 1958 — was the vehicle that started it all, establishing the fundamental design principles and engineering philosophy that would define Land Rover for over seven decades. The Series I featured a sturdy box-section ladder chassis, aluminium body panels — chosen partly because steel was rationed in post-war Britain and partly because aluminium resisted corrosion — a simple but effective four-wheel-drive system, and a 1.6-liter petrol engine later upgraded to a 2.0-liter unit. The Series I was designed to be a practical working tool for farmers and the military, and its simplicity and ruggedness ensured that many examples remain in service today, over 75 years after they were built. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that founding Land Rover model. Each emblem features the Land Rover badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at high resolution with fade-resistant solvent inks. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film.
