The Lotus Cortina — officially the Ford Cortina Lotus — was the result of a collaboration between Colin Chapman and Ford in 1963 that created one of the most iconic sporting sedans in British automotive history. Chapman took the humble Ford Cortina bodyshell and transformed it with a Lotus-developed twin-cam 1.6-liter engine, uprated suspension with revised geometry and coil spring rear end replacing the leaf springs, lightweight aluminium body panels, and a close-ratio gearbox that turned a family saloon into a genuine racing car for the road. The Lotus Cortina dominated touring car racing in the 1960s under the hands of legendary drivers including Jim Clark and Graham Hill, establishing a template for the performance sedan that manufacturers continue to follow. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that legendary sporting sedan. Each emblem features the Lotus badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy.
