Mazda's SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission is a six-speed torque converter unit meticulously engineered to combine the mechanical efficiency and direct driving feel of a dual-clutch transmission with the smooth, refined gear changes and low-speed comfort of a conventional automatic. The SkyActiv-Drive achieves this remarkable balance through an aggressive early lockup strategy that engages the torque converter lockup clutch almost immediately after each upshift from first gear onward, providing a direct mechanical connection between the engine and transmission that effectively eliminates the efficiency losses, power waste, and disconnected driving feeling of conventional torque converter slippage during normal acceleration and cruising. A specially developed damp-spring-type torsional damper integrated into the torque converter absorbs the vibrations and harshness that would otherwise reach the cabin from the early lockup engagement, ensuring that the direct connection feels refined rather than harsh. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems complement that SkyActiv-Drive transmission. Each emblem features the Mazda badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is a pre-applied industrial acrylic film. Clean the cap, peel, position the emblem, and press for thirty seconds. The bond is permanent — no tools, no clips, no drilling. Sizes from 20 mm to 120 mm. Custom diameters upon request.
