The Mazda 1500 sedan — launched in 1966 as the Luce — was one of Mazda's first full-size passenger cars designed by the legendary Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro during his tenure at Bertone, and its clean, elegant proportions established a design standard that elevated Mazda's image from a manufacturer of economy cars and three-wheeled trucks to a serious player in the mainstream automotive market. The Luce featured a 1.5-liter overhead-valve engine and a sophisticated fully independent suspension that gave it road manners well above its price class, while Giugiaro's restrained yet elegant styling created a visual presence that competed with much more expensive Japanese and European sedans. The Luce name continued through multiple generations until the 1990s, establishing one of Mazda's most enduring model lines in the Japanese domestic market. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems honor that Giugiaro-designed classic. Each emblem features the Mazda badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at high resolution with fade-resistant solvent inks. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is a pre-applied industrial acrylic film.
