The Mazda RX-7 FD's front-midship engine layout — with the compact 13B-REW rotary positioned entirely behind the front axle centreline — created a near-ideal 50:50 front-to-rear weight distribution and a low polar moment of inertia that gave the car a natural agility and willingness to change direction that conventional front-engine sports cars with their engines overhanging the front axle simply cannot replicate. The compact dimensions of the rotary engine were crucial to achieving this layout — a conventional inline-six or V8 of comparable power would have been too long to package behind the front axle within the FD's sleek bodywork. The front-midship layout, combined with the FD's lightweight aluminium bonnet and suspension components, concentrated mass between the axles where it contributes least to rotational inertia and most to predictable handling balance. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems complement that perfectly balanced FD RX-7 chassis layout. Each emblem features the Mazda badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is an industrial acrylic film. Clean the cap, peel, position the emblem, and press for thirty seconds. The bond is permanent — no tools, no clips, no drilling. Sizes from 20 mm to 120 mm. Custom diameters upon request.
