Pontiac began life in 1926 as a companion brand to General Motors' Oakland division, but the student quickly surpassed the teacher — Oakland was discontinued in 1931 while Pontiac went on to become one of the most exciting nameplates in American automotive history. Clean the cap with isopropyl alcohol, remove the liner, position the emblem, and press firmly for half a minute.
