SkyActiv-D is Mazda's revolutionary approach to diesel engine technology that uses an unusually low compression ratio of 14:1 — significantly lower than the 16:1 to 20:1 ratios used by conventional diesel engines — to reduce combustion temperatures and virtually eliminate the NOx emissions that require expensive aftertreatment systems in competitors' diesel engines. The lower compression ratio allows Mazda to use a lighter engine block, lighter pistons, and fewer emissions control components, reducing the weight penalty traditionally associated with diesel engines while maintaining the excellent fuel efficiency and strong low-end torque that make diesel powertrains desirable. SkyActiv-D engines demonstrate Mazda's willingness to challenge conventional engineering wisdom in pursuit of more elegant solutions. These 3D domed wheel center cap emblems complement that diesel innovation. Each emblem features the Mazda badge reproduced on premium automotive vinyl at 1,440 dpi with solvent-based inks for lasting accuracy. A thick dome of UV-stabilized polyurethane resin covers the print, forming a crystal-clear, scratch-resistant, waterproof surface. The adhesive is a pre-applied industrial acrylic film. Clean the cap, peel, position the emblem, and press for thirty seconds. The bond is permanent — no tools, no clips, no drilling. Sizes from 20 mm to 120 mm. Custom diameters upon request.
